A foundation built to walk with young people as they figure out who they are, what they love, and how far they can go.
We believe every young person deserves the chance to see further than where they stand today.
A steady mentor. A library card. A first look at a college campus. A grown up who says, "you can do this." Small moments like these can change the shape of a life, and they are the moments we exist to create.
Founder
Kri Peck
For Kri Peck, this work is personal.
Brunswick County, North Carolina raised him. It shaped how he thinks, how he leads, and how he treats people. As his own doors have opened, so has a growing pull to hold them open for the kids coming up behind him.
Kri Kares Foundation is his way of saying thank you to that community, and of reminding young people that where you start is not the same thing as where you end up.
"Our story starts in Brunswick County. Our vision reaches far beyond it."
Five simple ways we try to be useful to young people and the people who love them.
Books, tutoring, and the kind of learning experiences that stretch what a young person believes is possible.
Pairing young people with mentors who show up, listen well, and believe in them out loud.
Helping students pay for the next step, whether that's college, trade school, or a path they are still figuring out.
Locking arms with the schools, libraries, and neighbors who are already doing the work.
Room to try things, ask questions, and get a glimpse of what life could look like on the other side of a big dream.
Sometimes all it takes is one person to believe in your dream.
We want every young person we meet to walk away knowing someone is in their corner.
Award Amount
$5,000
Awarded to one student who shows ambition, grit, leadership, care for the community around them, and a real commitment to their next step.
The Kri Peck Dream Bigger Scholarship is being built to help one student take a real, tangible step toward what's next.
The plan is to award $5,000 to a student whose ambition, grit, leadership, and love for their community speak for themselves.
"We are not just helping pay for school. We are betting on a dream."
The work happens in libraries, classrooms, and neighborhoods, side by side with the people already doing it.
None of this happens alone. If you want to volunteer, partner with us, sponsor a program, or just say hi, we would love to hear from you.
